The AutoXtreme ECE-70 reflective sticker sits flat and permanently on the bodywork. No frame, no bolts, no protrusions. The self-adhesive backing follows slightly curved surfaces. E8 certified under ECE-R70 and TÜV SÜD tested.
When are you legally required to use this product?
The Netherlands and the EU
In the Netherlands and the rest of the EU a legal marking requirement applies to all vehicles with a maximum mass above 3,500 kg and a length of more than 6 metres. This is set out in European directive 76/756/EEC and ECE-R70, and applies to caravans, trucks, semi-trailers, trailers and heavy vans on public roads. Vehicles without valid marking risk a driving ban and a fine at a roadside inspection.
Spain
Spain applies additional national rules. Under Article V-6 (Vehículo Largo) the ECE-70 marking is also required in Spain for vehicles and combinations longer than 12 metres, regardless of weight. This applies to Spanish and foreign vehicles alike and has been in force since April 2011. Important: in a number of other EU countries it is forbidden to carry this marking on combinations under 3,500 kg. For caravanners who only want the marking in Spain, the magnetic version is the better choice.
The sticker version suits vehicles where a permanent, flat fitting is wanted. Note: removal after curing can affect the paint surface.
