A flat battery never comes at a convenient moment. With an AutoXtreme jump starter you get going again yourself, wherever you are, without waiting for a second car or for roadside assistance.
What is a jump starter?
A jump starter is a portable battery pack that delivers the current your engine needs to crank. You connect it straight to the battery, wait for the green light and start the car. No second vehicle, no jump leads stretched between two bonnets.
We rate on CCA, not on peak current
Every model here is listed by its CCA rating (Cold Cranking Amps, the real starting power on a cold start). Peak current is not measured the same way by every brand, so those big numbers cannot be compared. Check the CCA on your own battery label and pick a model rated at least that high.
Which model suits your vehicle?
- Boost Basic 3000 (480 CCA): small petrol cars and city cars.
- Boost Air Micro (480 CCA): the same starting power, with an air compressor built in.
- Boost Mini 3750 (620 CCA): mid-range petrol cars and small diesels.
- Boost Slim 12000 (760 CCA): flat design that fits a glovebox.
- Boost Slim 16000 (960 CCA): diesels and SUVs, in the same flat design.
- Boost Pro 8250 (960 CCA): diesels, SUVs and start-stop cars with an AGM battery. For a passenger car this is as heavy as you need to go.
- Boost Slim 20000 (1200 CCA): large petrol engines and diesels.
- Boost Max 10200 (1440 CCA): vans and large diesels.
- Boost Xtreme 8250 (1920 CCA): heavy engines, with an air compressor built in.
- Boost Dual 12400 (2880 CCA, 12/24V): lorries and other 24V vehicles.
Not sure which one to take? Go one model up. A jump starter with more capacity than you need does no harm, one that is too light leaves you standing.
