You fit the AutoXtreme ECE-70 magnetic marking on any metal surface in seconds, including slightly curved panels, without tools and without damaging the paint. Fully valid in law thanks to E8 certification under ECE-R70. The obvious choice if you do not want to fix the marking permanently or want to share it across several vehicles.
When are you legally required to use this product?
The Netherlands and the EU
In the Netherlands and the rest of the EU a legal marking requirement applies to all vehicles with a maximum mass above 3,500 kg and a length of more than 6 metres. This is set out in European directive 76/756/EEC and ECE-R70, and applies to caravans, trucks, semi-trailers, trailers and heavy vans on public roads. Vehicles without valid marking risk a driving ban and a fine at a roadside inspection.
Spain
Spain applies additional national rules. Under Article V-6 (Vehículo Largo) the ECE-70 marking is also required in Spain for vehicles and combinations longer than 12 metres, regardless of weight. This applies to Spanish and foreign vehicles alike and has been in force since April 2011. Important: in a number of other EU countries it is forbidden to carry this marking on combinations under 3,500 kg. The magnetic version is the most practical choice here. You fit it as you enter Spain and take it off on your return, without leaving marks on the paint.
After fitting, always check that the strip makes contact with the vehicle surface along its full length.
