When are you legally required to use this product?
France
Since 1 January 2021 the Angles Morts marking has been required throughout France on all trucks with a maximum permitted mass above 3,500 kg. This applies to French and foreign vehicles alike. At least 3 markings are needed per vehicle: on both sides within 1 metre of the front, and at the rear on the right-hand side. A truck with a semi-trailer needs at most 6 markings. Fitting height: at least 90 cm and at most 150 cm above the ground. Driving without valid marking carries a fine of 90 euros minimum up to 750 euros maximum.
Visibility
The law requires a marking, but sets no requirement for retroreflection. A non-reflective sticker is barely visible during a night-time check or in poor conditions. The AutoXtreme marking uses retroreflective film and meets the highest visibility requirements. TÜV SÜD certified and E8 approved.
The magnetic version suits drivers who do not want to fit the marking permanently or who want to share it across several vehicles. Note: magnetic fitting only holds on steel or iron, not on aluminium or plastic body panels. Always check the material of the mounting surface.
