- For a Mazda CX-30 you need a jump starter suitable up to roughly 520 to 650 CCA, depending on the engine.
- Your battery has a CCA rating (the cold cranking amps, shown as EN on the battery label). A jump starter itself has no CCA: the number shows up to which battery CCA it is suitable for. Choose a model that is suitable up to at least the value of your battery.
- Almost every CX-30 has the i-stop start-stop system and therefore needs a higher rating. For most versions, choose the Boost Pro 8250.
- Below you'll find the right jump starter for each engine variant for the CX-30 (from 2019).
What is CCA and why does it determine your choice?
CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) is the starting power your battery delivers in the cold. The heavier the engine and the colder it is, the more you need. The value is shown as EN on your battery. A jump starter itself has no CCA: the number shows up to which battery CCA it is suitable for, so choose a model that matches the EN value of your CX-30.
